Fees and requirements were checked on Empire Flippers' own pages and its public Trustpilot page in October 2026, and they change. We run AIExchange.club, a competing marketplace, so we are not neutral. We have tried to be fair. This is general information, not legal, tax or financial advice.
Empire Flippers is legitimate. It is an established, vetted broker for online businesses, and its public reviews are strongly positive. It is also expensive on smaller sales and selective about who it takes. Here is how the fee works, what you'd pay on three sales, and who it fits.
What Empire Flippers is
Empire Flippers is a broker that vets online businesses before listing them. It covers websites, e-commerce stores and software. You list with it, it screens the business, and buyers make offers through its process. For how pricing works first, see our SaaS valuation guide.
How the commission works
There is no listing fee. The commission is blended, which means each rate applies only to its own slice of the price:
| Sale price band | Commission |
|---|---|
| Up to $66,666.66 | Flat $10,000 |
| $66,666.66 to $700,000 | 15% of the sale price |
| $700,000 to $5,000,000 | 8% on the portion in this band |
| Above $5,000,000 | 2.5% on the portion above $5M |
What you'd pay on three sales
We put a flat 10% beside it, which is what AIExchange.club charges, with no listing fee. Our percentage is lower on these sales, but it isn't on large ones, and we show where that flips.
| Sale price | Empire Flippers | AIExchange.club (flat 10%) |
|---|---|---|
| $100,000 | $15,000 (15%) | $10,000 |
| $500,000 | $75,000 (15%) | $50,000 |
| $1,000,000 | $129,000 (12.9%) | $100,000 |
| $2,000,000 | $209,000 (10.5%) | $200,000 |
| $3,000,000 | $289,000 (9.6%) | $300,000 |
The two cross at about $2.45 million. Below that, a flat 10% costs less. Above it, Empire Flippers' blended rate is lower, and if you're selling a business that large, it deserves a serious look.
Who gets in
Empire Flippers' own seller page asks for at least $24,000 a year in net profit (about $2,000 a month) and 12 months of earnings history. It screens for signs of manipulation, and it may decline a business if it doesn't think it has the buyer pool. Listings are exclusive to Empire Flippers for the first 2 months. If the business hasn't sold by then, you can delist or list elsewhere. The page reports an average of 130 days to sell.
What reviewers say
On Trustpilot, Empire Flippers holds 4.3 stars from 122 reviews, with about 87% five-star and 8% one-star. Reviewers praise knowledgeable advisors, strict vetting that makes the platform feel safer, and smooth account transfers. The complaints are few and specific: one reviewer found the identity check heavy, one said a listing didn't make clear that an ad account couldn't be transferred on its own, and one said a listing was closed after slow replies. These are individual experiences, not verified facts. Whatever you choose, get your numbers in order first with our sale prep checklist.
Who it fits, and who should look elsewhere
| Empire Flippers fits you if | Look elsewhere if |
|---|---|
| Your business earns $24,000 a year or more in net profit with a 12-month record | You're below that bar or have a shorter history |
| You'll sell above about $2.5M, where its blended rate is lower | Your sale is under $1M and the 15% band would apply |
| Your business is a site, store or software business | You want a marketplace built only for AI and SaaS |
How AIExchange.club is different
We list only AI and SaaS businesses that already make money. Listing is free, and the flat 10% success fee is paid only when your deal closes. The deal room, escrow and in-platform contracts are included (see fees and pricing). A broker guides you through the sale. We are newer, so we don't claim a record we haven't built. See our Flippa alternatives comparison and our guide on whether Acquire.com is legit for the other options side by side.
